Breakfast: lemon water, green tea, shake made from hemp milk, vanilla almond milk, hemp protein powder, cashew butter, strawberries, and spinach.
Lunch: sliced almonds, strawberries, blackberries, carrot sticks with cashew butter.
Shopping (Snider's): 6 single-serving Chobani Greek yogurts (assorted flavors), boneless chicken thighs, salmon filet, boneless beef short ribs, ground turkey, smoked trout, ground beef, frozen blueberries, lentil chips, broccoli, multigrain tortilla chips, pomegranate rooibos tea, jar of marinated artichoke hearts, spicy olives from the deli, kosher dill pickles from the deli, red leaf lettuce, grape tomatoes, 1/2 a red cabbage, 3 avocados, bag of sweet mini peppers, strawberries, Arnold wheat and oat bread, 3 lemons, dozen eggs. $98. Note that my kid is not on the gut cleanse, and some of these items were for them.
Dinner: salad of spinach, red leaf lettuce, and shredded purple cabbage, with freeze-dried raspberries, blackberries, roasted broccoli, sliced almonds, and white-meat chicken, with red wine vinaigrette. The colors in this were very pretty.

Breakfast: lemon water, green tea, shake made from vanilla almond milk, hemp protein powder, cashew butter, frozen blueberries, fresh strawberries, and red leaf lettuce. Yes, lettuce. The head I bought yesterday was half-rotten and I had to throw a lot of it away, and only a limited amount was salvageable, and not too beautiful. So I used some in last night's salad, and the rest in the morning smoothie.
There was a bake sale outside the gym where I went to vote this morning. I wanted to support the PTA so bad!! But I abstained.
Lunch: the last of the Evolution green juice (it is growing on me), two fried eggs, a little smoked trout (absolutely delicious!), kosher dill pickle, two spicy olives, 3 strawberries. I'd meant to have more spicy olives, but they were, strangely, very underripe and chalky. Since there isn't much chance of their ripening now, I threw them all away. What a waste.
Dinner: salad of spinach, purple cabbage, shredded carrot, and grape tomatoes, with avocado, turkey meatballs, toasted pumpkin seeds, and roasted portobello mushrooms. My kid had salmon instead of turkey meatballs.

Breakfast: lemon water, green tea, shake made from vanilla almond milk, hemp protein powder, cashew butter, frozen blueberries, fresh strawberries, and kale.
Lunch (after work, 2:30): leftover turkey meatballs, leftover salmon filet, 2 mini sweet bell peppers.
Shopping (co-op): Seventh Generation unbleached paper towels, 3 rolls Seventh Generation toilet paper, Field Day Honey Nut O's cereal, unsweetened chocolate almond milk, can coconut milk, coconut water with pulp, California olive oil, roasted unsalted almonds, roasted salted cashews, sriracha, organic frozen green peas, frozen strawberries, organic baby arugula, broccoli sprouts, broccolini, broccoli, acorn squash, 2 avocados, 2 lemons, 2 small orange tomatoes, 3 roma tomatoes. $78.
Dinner: salad of spinach, arugula, purple cabbage, sweet mini-bell peppers and roma tomatoes, with avocado, hard-boiled egg, and almonds, and a red wine vinaigrette dressing. This was a simple salad with no cooking involved (I'd hard-boiled the eggs earlier in the week), to accommodate an evening meeting at my kid's school.
Snacks: 2 cups green tea, 1 cup rooibos tea with almond milk; roasted nori seaweed and ginger scrambled eggs from the restaurant while working.
April 28
Breakfast: lemon water, green tea, shake made from vanilla almond milk, hemp protein powder, canned coconut milk, frozen strawberries, fresh strawberries, and kale. I have been taking the Saccharomyces boulardii again for the past 24 hours and am so far feeling okay.
Lunch: a whole avocado, small orange tomato, roasted almonds.
Shopping (Safeway): dried yellow split peas, World's Best cat litter (one of the few things about which I have a brand loyalty; another is this), sunflower butter, 3 individual packs sesame roasted seaweed, brown cage-free eggs, dental floss (sadly, breaking my brand loyalty for today to Dr. Tung's, due to lack of availability), Alba Botanica coconut shampoo and conditioner, 1 lime, 1 bunch scallions, 2 avocados (I am growing tired of avocados, something I thought could never happen), 2 onions, 1 bunch cilantro, 2 organic zucchini, 2 lbs. spinach (doh! I meant to buy three, I just realized), 1 lb. mixed "power greens," bagged kale, organic grape tomatoes, romaine hearts, baby rainbow carrots, house-made guacamole, strawberries, blueberries. $83.
Dinner: salad of arugula, romaine lettuce, broccoli sprouts, and sweet mini-bell peppers, with sliced boneless beef short ribs, almonds, and roasted broccolini, and a lemon-olive oil dressing. I cooked the short ribs like tiny steaks, and this worked perfectly: they were as good as any ribeye, and much cheaper. Recommend.
The beef was still delicious, though. More of that.
